Exeter Airport serves the South West and is a popular departure point for holiday flights. The area around Clyst Honiton and the M5 corridor has seen growing EV infrastructure, though it's still less dense than bigger city airports.
Where to Stay
Exeter City Centre
About 15 minutes from the airport and far better choice of hotels. Exeter has a compact, walkable city centre with some excellent independent hotels. EV charging has grown significantly here, particularly around the St Thomas and Quayside areas.
Clyst Honiton and Cranbrook
The new town of Cranbrook, built from scratch east of Exeter, has modern infrastructure including EV charging baked in from the start. Some good new-build hotels here.
Sidmouth and the East Devon Coast
If you want a scenic pre-flight night, the East Devon AONB has beautiful hotels. Stays on Sento are labelled charging on-site, charging nearby or standard — confirm charging with the property or a live charging map such as Zapmap before you travel.
