London City Airport is unique — it's in the middle of the city, in the Royal Docks, right next to Canary Wharf. For EV drivers, this is actually a great news story: the Docklands area has excellent EV charging, and you have the entire east London hotel market to choose from.

Canary Wharf
A 5-minute taxi from the terminal. The Canary Wharf area has modern hotels, excellent EV charging (lots of workplace charging spilling into public access), and all the restaurants and bars you'd want before a business trip.
Docklands and Canning Town
Slightly more budget-oriented, close to the Jubilee Line, and growing EV infrastructure. Good practical option.
Stratford
20 minutes from the airport on the DLR. Westfield Stratford has excellent EV charging, and the area has some good hotels at various price points.
