Bristol Airport sits south of the city in the Mendips, and it's fair to say that the surrounding area — Long Ashton, Weston-super-Mare direction, and down towards Wells — is less EV-dense than urban airports. That makes advance planning more important.
Where to Stay
Long Ashton and Backwell
The villages immediately north of the airport have a limited but growing selection of hotels and B&Bs with EV charging. Best for drivers coming from Bristol or Bath who want a short journey to the airport.
Bristol South and Bedminster
If you're happy with a slightly longer drive (25–30 minutes), staying in Bristol proper gives you access to far better hotel choice and EV infrastructure. The city has invested heavily in public charging.
Weston-super-Mare
For those arriving from the south, this coastal town has several hotels with EV charging and is a scenic overnight stop before a morning flight.
