Southampton Airport is compact — one of the UK's smaller regional airports — but it punches above its weight for EV drivers. Hampshire has been proactive on EV infrastructure, and the area around Eastleigh, Winchester, and the M3 corridor is well served.

Eastleigh
Right next to the airport. Several business-oriented hotels here have added EV charging, and the town has good public charge points too. Practical choice for short stays before a flight.
Winchester
About 10 miles north on the M3, with a much more appealing setting. Winchester has good EV infrastructure and some lovely hotels. Worth the slightly longer drive to the airport.
Southampton City Centre
Well-connected to the airport by rail (direct train) and road. Strong EV charging infrastructure, and the waterfront area has some excellent hotels.
