Birmingham Airport sits in a strong position for EV drivers — surrounded by the M42, M6 and A45, with good rapid charging infrastructure along the NEC corridor and into Solihull and Coventry.
The NEC Area
The National Exhibition Centre sits adjacent to the airport and the hotels in this cluster are among the most EV-ready in the Midlands. Many were upgraded during the NEC's own sustainability push, which included widespread EV charger rollout. This makes them a solid choice for both leisure travellers and anyone attending events.
Solihull
About 10 minutes from the airport, Solihull has a good range of hotels from budget to boutique. It's also one of the better-connected EV towns in the West Midlands — not surprising given it's home to the Land Rover Defender factory and a large proportion of EV-driving residents.

Coventry
Further out, but if you're coming from the east, Coventry is worth considering. The city has made real progress on EV infrastructure as part of its green city initiatives.
Charging labels on Sento
Stays on Sento are labelled charging on-site, charging nearby or standard — confirm charging with the property or a live charging map such as Zapmap before you travel. A Sento Charging Promise is coming soon.
