The BMW iX3 is a premium electric SUV that's become a popular choice for drivers upgrading from combustion SUVs. Its charging setup is solid if not cutting-edge.
iX3 Charging Specs
- DC rapid: up to 150kW
- AC: up to 11kW (3-phase)
- Range: around 270–290 miles (real-world UK)
Best Networks for the iX3
The iX3's 150kW DC capability is well-served by Gridserve's higher-power sites and Osprey's newer hubs. At 11kW AC, it's at the upper end of what most hotel chargers provide — but the best hotels listed on Sento will deliver a full overnight charge.

Hotel Charging Strategy
At 11kW, the iX3 goes from 20% to 100% in around 7–8 hours. That's a clean overnight charge. At 7kW (the more common hotel charger speed), you're looking at 11–12 hours — still fine for an overnight stay if you check in at a reasonable time.
Stays on Sento are labelled charging on-site, charging nearby or standard — confirm charging with the property or a live charging map such as Zapmap before you travel. A Sento Charging Promise is coming soon.
