The Mercedes EQC is a premium electric SUV with a comfortable, refined character — and its charging setup reflects that.
EQC Charging Specs
- DC rapid: up to 110kW
- AC: up to 7.4kW (single-phase)
- Range: around 220–250 miles (real-world UK)
Charging in Practice
The EQC's 7.4kW AC charging speed means a full overnight hotel charge (from 20% to 100%) takes around 12–13 hours. That's fine for an overnight stay but worth planning if your check-in is late and checkout is early.
At 110kW DC, the EQC is reasonably quick at rapid chargers — though not at the cutting edge of the newer 800V vehicles.
Best Networks
- Gridserve — reliable and often at 50–150kW, well within the EQC's capability
- Tesla Supercharger — the EQC cannot use Tesla Superchargers without an adapter
- BP Pulse and Osprey — widespread and compatible
