The MINI Electric (now the MINI Aceman E and Cooper E) is the perfect urban EV — small, stylish, and fun. Its charging specs reflect its city focus.
MINI Electric Charging Specs
- DC rapid: up to 50kW (CCS)
- AC: up to 11kW (3-phase, Aceman E)
- Range: around 140–180 miles (Aceman E, real-world UK)
Charging in Practice
The MINI Electric's modest range means you'll be charging more frequently on longer trips — but it's genuinely excellent for city and commuter use where 100-150 miles a day is typical.
At 50kW DC, you can add around 80 miles in 30–35 minutes. At 11kW AC (Aceman E), a full charge from 20% takes around 2.5–3 hours.

Hotel Charging for MINI Owners
For longer trips (city breaks, weekend away), finding a hotel with EV charging is important. The MINI's small battery means a short hotel stay — even 3–4 hours — can fully charge the car.
Stays on Sento are labelled charging on-site, charging nearby or standard — confirm charging with the property or a live charging map such as Zapmap before you travel. A Sento Charging Promise is coming soon.
