The Audi e-tron (now rebranded as the Q8 e-tron) is a large, comfortable electric SUV with impressive range but a charging setup that's more conventional than the newer 800V vehicles.
e-tron Charging Specs
- DC rapid: up to 170kW (Q8 e-tron)
- AC: up to 11kW (3-phase)
- Range: around 280–310 miles (real-world UK, Q8 50 e-tron)
Charging Options
At 11kW AC, the e-tron charges well overnight. A full charge from 20% takes around 7–8 hours at 11kW, or closer to 12 hours at 7kW. Hotels with 3-phase charging are worth seeking out.
For rapid charging, the e-tron performs well at 150kW chargers — Gridserve and newer BP Pulse Ultra sites are ideal.

Finding Hotels
Stays on Sento are labelled charging on-site, charging nearby or standard — confirm charging with the property or a live charging map such as Zapmap before you travel. For e-tron owners, that difference can mean arriving at breakfast with a full battery versus a half-charged one.
